Maple Leafs 2, Sharks 3

LeafsI'll begin this recap by telling you I didn't catch a minute of this game. I went to bed because my alarm clock was set for 4am. I missed our fifth consecutive loss.

In the entire 30 team NHL, only two teams have fewer points than us. Tampa Bay is only a game behind. I'm going to predict my next Leafs-related entry is regarding the firing of a certain inept GM or a certain ineffective coach or both.

I only check Leafs scores these days, eternally hoping (and expecting for them to lose). I left the library when the Leafs were up 2-0, but I didn't think it would last.. and of course, it didn't. I've been trying to think how best to get the message out to other Leaf fans - if you really are one, stop filling the ACC night after night. Also, let Mats go to a contender. He deserves so much better than to wallow in mediocrity with the current group of clowns.

So, it was either your fault, Darien, or mine... I checked the score when it was 2-1, so I turned the game on just in time to see Rivet tie it up. I wonder how much longer we'll have to watch JFJ staring hopelessly down at the team he created...

I say give Scotty a chance to fix this mess. Please MLSE, I'm begging you...

Oh, if I can somehow make the Leafs magically lose every last game of the season, I would do it, if only so that they can get rid of the incompetent overpaid (and overpaying) execs who are currently running the show and start the healing process. It hurts... it hurts so bad...

Darien, I feel your pain. We're all hurting right now, but we'll persevere. We always do.
