Crazy, But That's How It Goes

familyYou never know what song is going to stick. My kids might be exposed to dozens of new songs each week, but only a select few become favourites that they memorize and sing ad nauseam.

For the longest time Michelle was in love with K-OS' "Sunday Morning", and then the kids really got into Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" and Linkin Park's "Bleed It Out". These days, they're all about Ozzy, Michelle in particular.

Her Ozzy of choice is "Crazy Train". She does the "Aye, Aye, Aye, Aye, Aye, Aye" in the beginning and really belts out the "I'm going off the rails on a crazy train" refrain. She just loves to sing "Crazy Train", and that's perfectly fine with me.

I bet it is really cute to hear them both sing. And you have to know Ozzy is far better then some of the rap crap they could be singing. Especially since if rap was the sound of choice you two would have to walk around explaining to the grandma's how they know "those" words!

It's no Bring the Noise, but it's a solid choice nonetheless.

What's next though, a little Slave to the Grind perhaps? Edison's Medicine maybe?

SoccerMom, it depends what rap you think is crap.

A lot of rap is crap, but a lot of it ranks amidst my favourite music of all time. My kids aren't able to mimic my Chuck D stylings, but they appreciate it.

The other day I dropped some M-A-E-S-T-R-O on them and they loved it. Forever we've done this call-answer thing where I ask them to tell me the name of my DJ. The answer, of course, is Terminator X!

I wanna hear that one more time y'all...

Oh I hear you, some of it I really like also. What I am talking about is here and f-bomb, there and f-bomb everywhere you go you need to remind the kids that word is for car use by mom and dad only...lol

It's true, as the kids get older, I find myself keeping the NWA to myself.

If I know an F-bomb is about to drop, I usually yell really loud over top of it.
