The Morning After Chill
Published by Toronto Mike on December 23, 2007 @ 11:42 in Family
Ignorance might be bliss, but knowing is half the battle. I just wrote about the agreement I struck with my wife yesterday and already we're coming to our senses. We'll call this the morning after chill.
The pros of having a third child:
- children are awesome
- another person to love and care for
- the more, the merrier
The cons of having a third child:
- they're expensive
- the early years are a lot of work
- a third child creates a middle child
- adding a third theoretically diverts focus and attention from the first two
- if it ain't broken, don't fix it
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I feel awfully blessed. I'm in love with both my son and daughter and I'm very comfortable stopping with my millionaires family. I could go for three, but I think life would be easier and just as fulfilling if I stopped at two.
My wife sees my point. I don't think she'll hold me to my six month promise. When you're presented with fantastic art work like this on a daily basis, life isn't going to get any better.

It's your call. I was fortunate - 1 shot (a goal) & won the Stanley Cup (twins).
Very difficult in the early years but they are VERY close but have problems with each other at times - there is a special bond.
Your heart or your head - you must BOTH decide!! Ask your kids if they would like another member of the family. My Mom & Dad did. Then they had their 5th.
