Peter Puck

hockeyI just watched my first episode of Peter Puck. They just ran it on LeafsTV during the first intermission of tonights Leafs game in Tampa Bay. I remember hearing about Peter Puck as a kid, and I had a Peter Puck colouring book, but I had never caught his little educational series that I recall.

Tonight Peter Puck taught us about icing and offsides. These were created for NBC in the 70s to teach Americans about NHL hockey, but they're great for kids. I can't wait for the next episode.

Lucky you. I'm watching the Tampa broadcast and these guys are hacks. Whoever the colour guy is has mispronounced Toskala and Ponikarovsky numerous times already.

To their credit though, they just showed a brief interview with TB's goaltending coach, Jeff Reese.

Now, I remember watching him play a bunch of times as a kid when the Leafs AHL club was the Newmarket Saints. Good times, those.

It's funny you mentioned Peter Puck.
Just the other day I looked him up on youtube. There were a few episodes.
