Maple Leafs 3, Predators 1

LeafsWasn't Vesa Toskala fantastic? That flurry in the third he handled with grace reminded me of vintage Belfour and Cujo. And did I really see Wade Belak score a goal? That was his first since 2003.

Mats Sundin's assist on Nik Antropov's goal extended his record home-ice points streak from the start of the season to 16. Things feel better in Leafs land since that loss to Phoenix. Of course, this is all part of the annual tease. We'll flirt with a playoff spot, get our hopes up and then miss out by a point. Sigh.

When Toskala is at his best, I too have been reminded of the way Cujo could save the team when they were outplayed.

Damn, Belak scored and I missed it?! Clearly, this just proves that nothing good can come from going to evening lecture, lol.
