Bonfire of the Beavers

Like his father before him, James is a Beaver. Tonight the Beavers and Cubs united for a bonfire by the Humber River in Etienne Brule Park. This was the first time I saw a Cub since I was a Cub, and the uniforms have changed dramatically.
I still have my old Cubs uniform, so I can tell you it was a grey cotton shirt, not the button up dressy shirt I saw tonight. The Beavers uniforms look the same as they did 25 years ago but the Cub unis have been reborn.
Here's my old shirt. Note the sad lack of badges.

Caught your pic of the Cubs jersey... And mine was a little earlier than yours, when I was part of 1st Georgetown, lol - 1969 - we had open V-necks with green accented edges and buttons! I see "Orienteering" and "Collecting" badges lol - and my Patrol was "Yellow" as well. Still have my "Woggles" (! now there's a word for you!) some where)
