The Swedish MAP Line?

Published August 30, 2007 @ 14:08 in Toronto Maple Leafs

leafsLeafs GM John Ferguson Jr. is making waves with this quote.

"We could be interested in Peter Forsberg if conditions are right."

If Peter Forsberg becomes a Leafs, and that's still a pretty big "if", he could be a part of the new Swedish MAP Line: Mats Sundin, Alex Steen and Peter Forsberg.

Start planning that parade...

It would be great to get him for a salary under T.O's cap maximum. I don't think so - he is waitng until the last moment to sign for as much as he can get.
He will be back in the NHL, but with who? Fortunately Sundin is also a Swede & that may have some influence on his decision.
Fingers crossed.

He's probably washed up if he's considering playing for this cursed team this late in his career.

Maybe he wants to go somewhere with very low expectations. Imagine, if he guides us to the 7th game of the first round, we'll likely erect a statue in his honour.
