R.E.M. - Drive
Earlier this year I complained about the exclusion of "Drive" from the R.E.M. greatest hits album. "Drive" may not have made the cut for In Time - The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 but it is good enough to be my Weekly MP3.

I hate to say it, but this track is probably the most skipped track on Automatic For the People for me. It's not that it isn't a good track, it's just that it's not even one of my top 5 favourites on this album. A great album BTW.

I just realized that I made the same comment on your previous post on this subject. Oh well, at least I'm consistent...if not horribly forgetful. :P

Sounds like GORD.

I've always thought the Hip and R.E.M. were similar. It's not just the sound, it's the mannerisms of Gord and Micheal Stipe - they both shaved their heads and have an eerily similar stage presence.

I love the song Drive the reason I got Automatic for the People to begin with.

Ok Al, that's one vote for me... Drive is my favourite cut on the album too.

The Hip and REM similar?

Download didn't work for me.

The re-work of "Drive", sped up, on the Greenpeace NRG album was a lot better.

Download should work - works for me.

Gord and Stipe have a similar stage persona, you must see that.
