Hilly Kristal was 75. He was the founder and owner of the New York rock club CBGB, a launching pad for bands like the Ramones, Blondie and the Talking Heads.

I am proud to say that I stepped foot in CBGB's in the summer of 1999. It was exactly as Alan Cross Described it. You could feel the history oozing from the walls of the place.
