Wasp Season

I was just starting to wonder where the wasps are this summer. Until this past weekend, I don't think I saw a single one in our backyard, and now I'm seeing them all over the place.
Did they arrive late this year or is this their usual pattern?

not sure about arriving late this year - as i have seen them since june.. but you can be sure to see more in the next 6 weeks. Just today i had to bring my 2 yr old out of the yard as there were close to 15 swarming around in the back yard..no nest just looking to share his water table.. even at work there are always 4 - 5 around the front door this week.. i think in the coming weeks now that all the nests have matured.. you will be seeing them everywhere.
