Who Needs A Cup When You Can Have Antropov?

leafsWho the hell needs a Stanley Cup when we could have Nik Antropov instead? The Maple Leafs have reached agreement with Antropov on a two-year contract extension.

Clearly Leafs management had a decision to make. Do we try and build a team capable of winning it all or do we keep re-signing the same mediocre players over and over and over again? We've made our choice, and now we have our favourite whipping boy for another couple of seasons.

Luckily he'll be spending most of that time on the DL.

We spend $4 plus Million for 2 years when we could spend elsewhere & MLSE supposedly sign JF JR. for another 2 years. Signing Mats for a long term (2 year contract effective 2008-09) is ridiculous as well.
There is virtually nothing left for free agents July 1st. I guess we have what we have.
AN EFFIN JOKE.
Can Tie come out of retirement to pay for his child support. Maybe JF JR. can sign Belinda TOO as a cheerleader & pay her handsome coin.
GO LAFFS GO

The most frustrating thing is when management holds the team back. This resign is a step backward.

Have they ever been serious about winning?

They certainly paid out enough in salaries to appear serious. Other than the Rangers, I don't think there were many bigger spenders before the salary cap.
