Frank Thomas becomes the 21st major leaguer to reach this milestone and the first player to do it wearing a Blue Jays uniform. Very cool.

Glad to see the big smile on Frank's face as he rounded the bases and his admission that No. 500 meant a lot to him. None of this phoney modesty that, yeah, the homer was nice but jeez,the team lost...Lost in the excitement of the Homeric homer was A.J. Burnett's poor outing and his tantrum on being yanked. AJ must be the only big league pitcher being paid $11 million a year for dousing teammates being interviewed. I think he's as dumb as he looks.

I'm not sure what the tv audience saw of AJ, but he threw his glove into the crowd and about 2 innings later, wanted it back. The guy who caught it wouldn't give it back to the Metrodome employee, security was called and the man was removed (with the glove). He came back about 2 innings later still with a glove - maybe a different one... but sure looked like a Major League Tantrum to me...
