Big Daddy Kane - Down The Line
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about this song. There was a trend in the late 80s and early 90s where almost every hip-hop album contained a track that featured all the MCs taking turns. One by one they'd drop their rhymes in their style and they'd go down the line. This is a good example from Big Daddy Kane's Taste of Chocolate disc.

Okay, okay, okay, okay, attention to the whole crew.

Mike,

This trend has never went anywhere.

For instance, you can check out Mos Def, Kayne West, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli and Busta Rhymes in the Get By Remix (I'm Good)

Just one of 70,000 examples I can think of

I wondered if this trend had gone away.
