My 3 Cent Refund

Published by Toronto Mike on April 30, 2007 @ 18:58 in Miscellaneous

moneyI recently bought a domain name through GoDaddy.com. Bob Parsons from GoDaddy.com just sent me an email with the subject line "Your refund for ICANN Fee overpayment". I love refunds.

Before I got my hopes up, I read the opening sentence. "The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN(R)) recently agreed to reduce their Registrar Transaction Fee from $.25 to $.22. What does this mean for you?" I started to do the math.

That's right, GoDaddy.com is giving me an in-store credit for 3¢. I know you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but this is a 3¢ gift horse and sometimes a 3¢ gift horse is more trouble than it's worth.

That's my two cents...er, three cents.

I just blogged about this earlier tonight when I got the email. I also submitted to the consumerist.com site as well, I hope they pick it up - Please show them your support as well so they’ll maybe feature it tomorrow

Love the new layout and your new banner. But the background red colour is too loud.
