20 Years of The Simpsons

Published by Toronto Mike on April 19, 2007 @ 21:29 in The Simpsons

homerTwenty years ago tonight, The Simpsons made their first appearance on television. On April 19, 1987, The Tracey Ullman Show aired a two-minute animated short by Matt Groening that introduced the world to Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The rest, is history.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate 20 years of The Simpsons than be revisiting their trip to Toronto during season 13. "I'm a ten year old boy in Toronto, I should be the happiest kid in the world." Damn straight.

Ha! This is cool. I had never seen this episode yet. Getting off the bus : a mountie, a hockey player & a Sasquatch! Going to the Skydome & the CN Tower. All to the music of "Take Off". Beauty, eh?
