2007 Playoff Pool: Day Thirteen

PuckRound one has ended with the Canucks sending Dallas home. It's time to take a snapshot of where we're at in the pool. Here are the standings after one round.

T1. Ryan - 46
T1. Mike - 46
T3. Alvin - 35
T3. Joe - 35
T3. Gary - 35
T6. Marc - 34
7. Pops - 32
T8. Alexi - 30
T8. Steve - 30

If I look at things objectively, I like my chances. 9 of my 10 players have advanced to the second round whereas Ryan is down to 6. Ryan's big guns are Senators and my big guns are Devils, so that series will likely determine the champion. Go Devils Go!

Anything can happen and I certainly don't think it's over for a lot of people. It only took one weekend for you and Ryan to separate yourselves from the pack. It's way too early to declare this a two person race.

Too late, it has been declared.

There are four teams that have a chance at victory in my opinion.

Ryan, Mike, Marc and Steve.

Don't count Marc out yet. He still has talent and if San Jose does go far he may just surprise you.

I personally am glad that I don't have to worry about such players as Briere, Vanek, Jagr and Thornton (although Alexi still has a slim chance).
