Don't Stand So Close to Me

thumbsdownI've never liked The Police. They're reuniting to open the 49th Annual Grammy Awards and I couldn't care less.

I've tried to like their music, mainly because I love Sting's contribution to one of my favourite Simpsons episodes, Radio Bart. He was so good in that amazing ep, I've been trying to like his music ever since. The thing is, the only stuff I hate more than tunes from The Police is tunes from Sting himself. It's awful.

The man can dig like nobody's business, but his music is pure shite.

You should have mentioned Stewart Copeland is a Cdn. by birth. I agree not a fan - but Sting is a great singer & musician - not my type of music.

Maybe one needs to have some '70s perspective in order to appreciate the police.... In '78 they were something completely new after years of arena rock. For a while they were cutting edge.

You must have at least liked this song:

C'mon admit it, it's so spacy, so different, so "out of this planet."
