Temple Of The Dog - Hunger Strike
When Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood died of a heroin overdose on March 19, 1990, Soundgarden's Chris Cornell started Temple of the Dog. Temple of the Dog was essentially members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and the hit single from their 1991 album was "Hunger Strike", a great Cornell and Eddie Vedder duet. Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament rose from the ashes of Mother Love Bone to join Vedder and Mike McCready. The rest, is history.
