Tonight's Moment of Zen

ZenAfter brushing her teeth, Michelle was ready for daddy to give her a hug and kiss and lift her into her crib. I gently lowered her onto her stomach, patted her back, told her I loved her and said goodnight. She replied with a "goodnight daddy", but followed that up with a loud "goodnight Jamesie!". James, playing in his room, rushed in, patted her back and said in the most nurturing, sweet, gentle tone, "Goodnight Michelly Belly. I love you. Have sweet dreams and we'll play together in the morning. Nighty-night".

Two seconds later she was sound asleep... with a smile on her face.

She is a beautiful child. So determined and full of life. I hope she keeps that spirit. With everything she possesses thus far I believe she will make a difference in this world. I love you Michelley belly.

Love grandma

Agreed, but the cutest part was how amazing James was with her. He instinctively knew how to comfort her.
