Maple Leafs 5, Flyers 2

LeafsThe Leafs wined and dined on the power play last night going 5-for-8 with the man advantage. Believe it or not, the Leafs had never before beaten the Flyers twice on the road in the same season until now. Jean-Sebastien Aubin remains unbeaten in regulation in seven starts.

Following the implosion in Montreal, we knew two things had to happen for us to sneak into the playoffs. We would have to win the vast majority of our remaining games and either Montreal, Tampa Bay or New Jersey would have to falter. In their past ten games, Montreal is 8-2-0, Tampa Bay is 7-2-1 and New Jersey is 7-2-1. Ouch.

It's improbable, but not impossible. And that's why I'll keep cheering them on until the very end and then some. (But let's face it, even if they were dead last in the league, I'd still be cheering for the Leafs.)
