A Boon on the Montreal Crystals?

email I received the following message via my contact form earlier today. There was no reply-to address, so I'm replying here.

Hi Mike. I am researching the 1890's hockey Cups and had to ask since I see your interest in hockey. I have 3 Boon's that played for the Montreal Crystals between 1893 and 1896.

G. Boon, H. Boon, and S. Boon and none of them are Hall of Famer Dickie Boon. There may be only 2 and one was a misprint but I know there were at least 2. Would any of these be your ancestor?

As far as I know, they weren't my ancestors. I suspect they're not related to me because no Boon would ever suit up for Montreal.
