Anyone is welcome to submit a Guest Blog Entry to MikeBoon.com. I received the following entry earlier today.
Ken Dryden for PM? Why not vote for Paul Gross? Although he plays a crooked PM with an agenda of his own in the mini-series 'H20', I think that Mr. Gross would make an excellent PM for any country.
Don't u think that the Maple Leafs need to trade for one or two top players? I keep thinking everyday I go through the game highlights from the NHL that the Leafs desperately need a high scorer or two. Names that come to mind (who would fit the team) are Brad Richards & Marc Savard. What do u think?
Why not Alexander Ovechkin and Joe Thornton? My issue with the Leafs is that they desperately need someone who can finish a play and score a goal or two, but they're also paper thin on defense and in desperate need of an upgrade or two there. In other words, this isn't a very good team and needs a great deal of help if we actually want to win four rounds in the Stanley Cup playoffs. As it stands right now, we might be good enough to finish eighth in the conference and, if everyone plays over their heads, we might be able to steal a round. The eternal questions are, who's available, how much of the future are we willing to give up and will we still come under the salary cap?
I don't think Mr. Gross is interested in the job. Rick Mercer, however, might give it a go.
