Heading North on the 400 earlier today on our way to Puck's Farm in Schomberg, the conversation turned to music.  54-40's "I Go Blind" was playing on CFNY Edge 102 and that got us thinking about 54-40 and Hootie and the Blowfish, who covered the song for the show "Friends".

I was noting how different the two bands' careers were.  Hootie and the Blowfish blew up big with their debut and became one of the most popular bands in the world for a short period of time before disappearing completely while 54-40 never attained such success but had a steady, consistent and respectable career for over two decades.  The question I posed to Taryn was simple.  If you were a band, which career would you rather have?  Hootie and the Blowfish's or 54-40's?

It was at precisely that moment that I turned to my side to catch the response, only to witness Taryn taking a large swig from the tupperware thermos containing Michelle's formula.  You see, there were two such containers in the bag, one full of formula and the other full of cool, refreshing water.  Taryn had inadvertently grabbed the wrong one and instantly regretted it.  As she spit it out the window along the 400, trying to wash out the terrible taste with water and rice cakes and anything else she could find in the car, she mentioned it was perhaps the worst thing she had ever tasted.

She also managed to answer my question.  She said she'd rather have 54-40's career, which of course, is the right answer.
