Mean Girls: 4 out of 10.
Tina, Tina, Tina. If you're going to write a flick like this, don't chicken out and play it so safe it's boring. Watch a movie like "Donnie Darko" or "The Virgin Suicides" first and then go for it.
"Mean Girls" was pretty dull. If I could describe it in a word, I'd describe it as empty. With the usually funny Tina Fey writing the screenplay, I had much higher hopes. One cool thing about this movie is the fact many of the scenes where shot in places I'm quite familiar with. There's that field I know well and was able to see from the balcony of an apartment I lived in for two years and there were many scenes filmed in Sherway Gardens, possibly the mall I know best.
Not even shots of the T-Dot were able to save this let down.
