St. John's Maple Leafs 3, Cleveland Barons 2

Published January 30, 2005 @ 10:57 in Toronto Maple Leafs

The Blue and White Maple LeafMikael Tellqvist stopped 40 of the Cleveland Barons 42 shots while his counterpart, Dimitri Patzold made a costly mistake. Down 2-1 to the Leafs, Patzold went behind the net to play a dump in but inadvertently left the puck for St. John's forward, Jeremy Williams, who wheeled around and stuffed the puck into the empty net. The Leafs went 7-4-1 during their franchise record 12 game road trip, not bad at all.
