New Home For The Argos

New Home For The ArgosYork University announced today that an agreement has been reached for the construction of a new 25,000-seat stadium on the York University Keele campus. The stadium will be the new home of the Toronto Argonauts and a world-class venue for Canadian soccer, and will host the FIFA Men's Under-20 World Youth Championship in the summer of 2007.

A nice, cozy 25,000-seat stadium is just what this team needs. I haven't been to an Argo game since Pinball's last run, but I remember how cavernous Skydome seemed with only 20,000 or so people in the stands. Skydome was a horrible place to watch CFL football and I'm certain the new stadium will be infinitely better. I might even attend another game or two.
