Pop-Up Blocking

Pop-Up BlockingThere was a time when surfing the web meant being harassed by annoying pop-up ads. I haven't been bothered by pop-up ads in quite a while because I use a pop-up blocker. If you're not using one, you're crazy man!

I've used a few in my time, but my favourite is probably the Google Toolbar. I like the Google Toolbar anyways because it enables me to search the web with Google from any site and a few other funky things, but the fact it kills pop-up ads is an awesome bonus. The pop-up blocker that comes with the Yahoo! Companion is a good tool as well, and my Yahoo! username/password allows me to save my favorite bookmarks and access them from any computer. That's a nice feature you don't get with the Google Toolbar and one I've found quite useful.

In the past I've preached about my preferred anti-spyware applications and my preferred virus scan utility, so today's lesson is about pop-up killers. And yes, there will be a quiz.
