Maple Leafs 5, Avalanche 2

Go Leafs Go!For the second game in a row, the Maple Leafs jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Again, this was no reason to relax as the Avs scored twice in the second to make it a one goal game before Mats Sundin made it 4-2 late in the period. Still, it was a convincing victory against another division leader.

The top of the Eastern Conference has never been so jammed making every point that much more important. Take today for example. Philadelphia, Boston and Montreal won while Ottawa picked up a point for their overtime loss. The Leafs had to win just to keep pace. As it stands, we still trail Boston by a point for the division lead. This is going to be quite the finish.
